Why should I participate?
Without knowing the true needs of the adult PKU community, the NSW PKU Association can not help raise the profile of these issues in the public. Every person with PKU has expertise in this subject and by coming together to identify the real issues we can hope to make change for the better – in the same way that others have paved the way for us in the past – we can bring about change both now and for future generations.
Plus, it will be a fun day with lots of opportunity to socialise and feel relaxed in a bright and positive environment, knowing that you are contributing to a more positive future for PKU.
Will there be food?
Low protein lunch & refreshments will be provided on the day.
Morning Tea: Tea/coffee and cake
Buffet Lunch: Lo-pro Soup / Breads /Salads/ BBQ Kebabs and more
Afternoon Tea: Tea/coffee, juice and fruit platter
How much does it cost?
The cost is covered by the NSW PKU Association if you are member. If you are not a member you can become one for only $20. You will find a registration form
here.
Individuals may apply to have public transport expenses subsidised by the Association should this otherwise prevent them from attending. Please indicate if this applies to you.
Can I bring someone with me?
We understand that some people may feel more comfortable having a relative or partner come with them. Should you wish to bring a guest, please indicate this on your registration. Guests will be welcome to join in for Lunch and Tai Chi on the day, however participation in the forum talks will be exclusively for individuals with PKU. A map of the local area will be provided for guests wishing to enjoy the local attractions North Sydney has to offer.
What do I bring?
Please bring this pack with you on the day.
Have a think about the issues are that you have faced living with PKU. What do you like? What do you wish you could change? How the community could help you. What you have done to help yourself. How the PKU Association of NSW can best represent your needs.
